By 2007, the company had earned recognition from Snap On Industrial and the United States Marine Corps, securing its initial military contract. This milestone marked the onset of a successful collaboration, paving the way for ongoing partnerships with the U.S. military. Leveraging this valuable experience, Champion Tool Storage diversified into automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and industrial domains, unveiling a comprehensive range of purpose-built workstations, modular series cabinets, and tool storage systems tailored for dealer service bays. The company takes pride in its capacity to tailor solutions to address the distinct needs of each client. FOUNDER AND CEO

Garin Buckles, the founder and CEO of Champion Tool Storage, embodies a deep-rooted passion for mechanics and innovation. As a third-generation gearhead, Garin's journey began at a young age, rebuilding carburetors with his father at a local Yamaha dealer in Carbondale, Illinois, when he was just five years old. His early exposure to the world of motorcycles, roadracing, and flat track racing laid the foundation for his lifelong commitment to engineering excellence.

By the age of 10, Garin and his family had moved to Southern California, where he soon found himself immersed in the world of high-performance machining. At 15, he was already working as an apprentice in Southern California's premier prototype and machine shop in Santa Ana, CA. It was here, during the early 1980s, that Garin gained invaluable experience working on the IMSA GTP cars, including the renowned Porsche 962 factory efforts and various other motorsports projects.

In 1990, Garin's career took him to Hood River Oregon, where he joined an acclaimed national original equipment manufacturer. His subsequent venture into fabricating architectural metals led him to work on high-profile commercial projects, including modern lofts in Portland and cruise ship interiors worldwide. It was during this period that Garin discovered his passion for metal storage solutions, ultimately leading him to establish Champion Tool Storage in his 2 car garage with his wife and two small children.

Today, Garin Buckles not only leads the product design group but also remains deeply involved on the factory floor, working alongside his team. His leadership style and company culture are a testament to his unwavering dedication to producing quality USA-made products. Whether in the office or on the production floor, Garin is committed to fostering a family-like environment at Champion Tool Storage, where excellence and craftsmanship are paramount.
